In your marriage, what is more important than effective communication? A lot, according to Wally. On June 7th, Wally gave a fireside in Alpine, challenging us to mine the temple endowment for truths to guide family life. He suggests 4 main themes that bring divine power into our marriage.
Wally Goddard is a retired professor of Family Life having served in Arkansas and Alabama. He developed programs on personal well-being, marriage, and parenting. He is well known for his many creative family programs, including The Marriage Garden, The Parenting Journey, and Blueprint for Happiness. Wally has authored or co-authored several books including Between Parent and Child, The Soft-Spoken Parent, and Drawing Heaven into Your Marriage. He has been recognized by his colleagues with several awards including the Outstanding Family Life Educator Award. Wally and his wife, Nancy, have three adult children, fourteen grandchildren, and have cared for many foster children over the years. Wally describes Nancy as the finest human being he has ever known.

I am sitting here, after having just listened to the audio of Drawing Heaven Into Your Marriage, and had to let you know that this is exactly what my husband and I need!
Will there be a second installment?
My dream is for my husband and I to come to a marriage encounter, if you still do them, some day.
But, I feel a little like you did when the great Hugh Nibley left you hanging about the ‘obvious’ tidbit he left out of his talk…you mentioned 4 special processes, and I think I identified 3 of them: Humility, Compassion, Unrealistic Positivity, and I missed the 4th, or I was not listening as carefully as I should have.
This book will be on my bookshelf soon!
